Let’s Go Fishing!
Hello I’m Gare, welcome to my web site. Originally born and as a off and on resident of the Sugar Camp - Eagle River Wisconsin area, I have been fishing these waters most of my life, and have developed a knowledgable base of the fish present in them. My guiding experience is for most species and I specialize in teaching people especially kids and beginners to fish for Musky, Northern Pike, Crappie, and Bass.
Spending a day on the water with me I will educate you on proper fishing techniques, boating safety and how it applies to the waters we are fishing. I will give detailed info on how and why we are fishing the spot we are fishing. This is how you learn the tricks and patterns that are usually working for that particular spot or lake.
I guide all year spending over 250-275 days on the open water and ice. I am a member of Muskies Inc.,and a member of Bills musky club, and a avid catch and release supporter for Muskies and Bass. My largest released Muskie to date is 54 ¼" and I am a holder of two world record bass line class records. The 2005 season was also a very successful season.Took the top 2 honors in the vilas county musky marathon guides division and 6 fish in the top 10!! Also numerous other awards for other clubs as well.
Some of my favorite waters are, The Sugar Camp Chain, Lakes North Nakomis, Pickerals and Muskellunges(both in Vilas and Oneida counties).Gilmore,Sweeney, Eagle River chain,Three Lakes chain, Escanaba, Fish Trap and High,(my cousin has a resort on Fish Trap and I have spent many a day fishing them 2 lakes). Clear, Indian, Two Sisters lakes. These are just some of my favorite waters. Chances are I fished many of the other waters not mentioned here as well.
So if your looking for something more than a fancy high speed boat ride, wanting to learn the waters your going to fish, give me a call and lets see if I can help you out.If I`m not able to, remember, I have the Sugar Camp Guides connection, and other local guides and can help set you up.If your going to spend a week, get a guide your first day and learn the waters, then use that knowledge for the rest of your stay. Gare.
